一名欧盟官员告诉路透社记者，欧盟委员会周二通过的一项规则规定，COVID-19疫苗证书自完成初级疫苗接种计划之日起9个月内有效。
这位官员说，新规将从2月1日起在27个欧盟成员国生效。
这一规则将取代欧盟委员会11月提出的一项不具约束力的建议。
一旦该规定生效，欧盟国家将有义务让完全接种疫苗的旅行者凭有效接种证明进入其领土。但是，在状况恶化时也有例外，各国仍然可以提出进一步的要求，如阴性检测或隔离，只是所附加的条件必须具有相称性。
一些欧盟国家如意大利、葡萄牙和希腊，目前仍要求来自其他欧盟国家的完全接种疫苗的游客在抵达时出示COVID-19检测呈阴性的证明。一些人认为这些措施损害了欧盟免疫证书的信誉。
欧盟的新规定只适用于国际旅行。
这位欧盟官员表示，在接种加强针剂后，COVID-19免疫证书的有效期将会进一步延长，因为目前关于强化针剂的有效期没有足够的信息，因此不会设定加强针接种者的免疫证书的期限。
目前，欧盟新冠肺炎疫苗接种计划由辉瑞生物技术公司、阿斯利康公司和Moderna公司生产的两针疫苗或强生公司的单针疫苗所组成。
