周一，法国极右翼总统候选人Eric Zemmour因煽动种族仇恨而被认定有罪，并被科罚1万欧元。
Eric Zemmour是一名前政治评论人士，在4月的总统选举中，他将与更知名的极右翼候选人玛丽娜·勒庞（Marine Le Pen）和保守派人士瓦莱丽·佩克雷斯（Valerie Pecresse）同台竞争，来挑战现任的中右翼总统马克龙。
法庭判决的这一案件与他2020年在右翼频道CNews上发表的关于无证儿童的言论有关，他说：“他们没有理由到这里，他们是小偷，他们是杀人犯，他们是强奸犯，这就是他们所做的一切，他们应该被送回去。”
去年数周的民意调查显示，曾有煽动种族仇恨犯罪前科的Eric Zemmour一度有机会在总统选举投票中排名第二，并在第二轮选举中与马克龙对决。但此后，他的竞选活动失去了一些动力，现在其民调排名位居第四。
Eric Zemmour表示，他将对这一裁决提出上诉。他坚持自己2020年的言论，并补充说，他因表达自己的观点而受到法院的谴责。律师称，CNews的一名高级代表也因Eric Zemmour的言论被处以罚款。
