自 8 月 7 日起，中国开始缩短载有新冠肺炎确诊患者的入境国际航班的停飞时间。
中国航空监管机构周日在一份声明中表示，如果有 4% 的乘客检测结果呈阳性，将暂停航班一周；如果有 8% 的乘客检测结果呈阳性，将暂停航班两周。
此前，中国航空监管机构的政策是，如果有 5 名乘客检测呈阳性，该航空公司该航线的航班将暂停两周。如果有 10 名以上的乘客检测结果呈阳性，将暂停四周。

香港特区政府周一表示，已将所有进入这个全球金融中心的旅客在酒店的隔离期由 7 天缩短至 3 天。与此同时，香港当局亦正在慢慢放松其严格的疫情防控规定。
