据SVT报道，瑞典疫苗协调人Richard Bergström近日表示，比利时制药公司强生公司疫苗将于4月中旬供应瑞典。
根据Bergström的消息，第一次交付的数量约为68,000剂，然后逐渐增加，到6月底之前，强生公司将向瑞典供应大约120万剂疫苗。
Bergström说：“这是一种典型的适于大流行时期的疫苗，只需一剂接种即可，而且，研究已经表明，该疫苗能有效地防止南非变异病毒导致的严重疾病和死亡。”
欧洲医药管理局（EMA）3月11日已经授权强生公司的疫苗在欧盟使用。据EMA称：“在美国、南非和拉丁美洲国家进行的一项临床试验结果发现，强生疫苗可有效预防18岁以上的人感染。这项研究涉及超过44,000人。一半人注射一剂疫苗，另一半人注射安慰剂。试验发现，接种疫苗者（19630人中有116例）在两周后出现感染症状的病例数量比接种安慰剂者（19691人中有348例）减少了67%。这意味着疫苗有67%的效力。”
至于强生疫苗加入了供应队伍是否会对瑞典的接种目标产生影响，Bergström没有正面回答这一问题，他只是强调，今年上半年瑞典预计会有500万人完成疫苗的接种。
