据路透社报道，世界卫生组织周五表示，他们决定把ModernaCOVID-19疫苗列入紧急使用清单，这是该组织紧急使用清单中的第五支疫苗。
世卫组织在一份声明中表示：“我们的目标是尽快提供药物、疫苗和诊断方法，以应对紧急情况。”
世卫组织助理总干事Mariangela Simao周五说，由于包括印度在内的其他疫苗的供应问题，对我们至关重要的是要开拓更多的疫苗供应渠道。印度是全球COVAX疫苗共享计划的一个主要疫苗来源。但由于感染危机的加剧，印度限制了出口。
Moderna本周宣布了一项扩大生产网络的计划，到2022年将产能提高到30亿剂。
世卫组织免疫战略咨询专家组早在1月份就向所有18岁及以上年龄组推荐了Moderna的疫苗。
辉瑞和德国合作伙伴BionTech的疫苗也是一种信使疫苗，类似Moderna的疫苗，是第一个在2020年最后几个小时获得世界卫生组织紧急使用名单的疫苗。
从那时起，阿斯利康- SK生物公司、印度血清研究所和强生公司的疫苗陆续被世卫组织宣布加入紧急使用清单。
总部位于日内瓦的世卫组织仍在考虑中国国药和科兴的COVID-19疫苗，并将于下周结束前做出决定。
