日本研究人员在实验室测试中发现,与早期版本的新冠状病毒相比,Omicron变种可以在塑料表面和人类皮肤上存活更长时间。
研究人员说,Omicron变种的高度“环境稳定性”,即保持传染性的能力,可能有助于使其取代Delta变种,从而成为主要的变种并迅速传播。
在塑料表面上,原始毒株、Alpha、Beta、Gamma和Delta变种的平均生存时间分别为56小时、191.3小时、156.6小时、59.3小时和114.0小时。相比之下,Omicron的生存时间可以长达193.5小时。在尸体皮肤样本上,原始病毒的平均存活时间为8.6小时,Alpha变种为19.6小时,Beta 为19.1小时,Gamma为11.0小时,Delta为16.8小时,Omicron变种则为21.1小时。
不过,研究还发现,在皮肤上,所有的变种在暴露于含酒精的洗手液15秒后均可被完全灭活。因此,研究人员认为,“强烈推荐使用消毒剂来控制感染(手部卫生),诚如世界卫生组织所建议的那样。”
