研究人员说，在美国和欧洲的至少 17 名患者中，发现了一种结合 Delta 和 Omicron 变种基因的新冠状病毒的混合版本，该病毒变种被称为 Deltacron。
法国马赛 IHU Mediterranee Infection 的 研究人员 Philippe Colson 说，由于确诊病例太少，因此现在无法知道，Deltacron 变种是否更具传染性或者是否会引起更严重的疾病。
Philippe Colson 是周二发表在 medRxiv上的报告的第一作者。该研究称，法国发现了三名感染一种 SARS-CoV-2 病毒的患者，该病毒具有 Omicron 变种的刺突蛋白和 Delta 变种的 “本体”。
根据遗传学研究公司 Helix 提交给 medRxiv 的一份未发表的报告，美国发现两起不相关的 Deltacron 感染事件。在病毒研究的公告板上，其他一些团队也报告说，自1月以来，欧洲出现了 12 例Deltacron 感染病例——都属于结合 Omicron 变种刺突蛋白和 Delta 变种 “本体”的变种版本。
