据路透社报道，中国研究人员在一项实验室研究中发现，由中国重庆智飞生物制品有限公司研发的新型冠状病毒疫苗基本保留了对Delta变种的中和作用，仅略微减弱。
目前，全球科学家和监管机构正在密切关注Delta变种是否会导致现有疫苗有效性不足的问题。Delta变种比新冠病毒的原始菌株更具传染性。
中国的研究人员在周五发表的一篇未经同行评审的研究报告称，对模拟真正Delta病毒变种的颗粒进行测试后，分析使用智飞三剂量方案接种疫苗者的血清样本显示，中和效果比模拟较早的变种颗粒略弱，仅降低了1.2倍。
然而，研究人员也表示，仍然有必要通过进行临床试验或实际使用获取更多的数据，以确定疫苗可以在多大程度上预防人们因这些变种病毒而染病。
该疫苗的III期临床试验的结果尚未公布。
这项研究收集并测试了28个人的样本。研究还发现，对于第二针注射间隔较长的受试者，其接受第三针注射后的样本显示出了更强的抗变异活性。
智飞公司生产的疫苗已在中国和乌兹别克斯坦获准紧急使用，目前已接种超过1亿剂。
