丹麦的一项研究发现，两种不同的 Omicron 新冠状病毒亚型变异株感染两次是可能的，但很少发生。
丹麦最高传染病权威机构 Statens 血清研究所 (SSI) 的研究人员领导的一项最新研究表明，感染 BA.1的人可能会在不久后再次感染 BA.2，但这种情况很少见。
BA.1与 BA.2之间的区别有多达40处突变。BA.2 在丹麦占了 88% 以上的病例，与此同时，在英国、南非和挪威 BA.2 感染的病例已经开始增加。
研究人员说，再感染主要影响年轻的、未接种疫苗的人，只会造成轻微的疾病，没有一例住院或死亡。
这项尚未经过同行评审的研究发现，在2021年11月21日至今年 2月11日期间，丹麦报告了 1739 个在20天至60天之间检测出两次阳性的病例。
在此期间，丹麦报告的感染人数超过180万。
在一个较小的样本组中，该研究发现了 47 例 BA.1感染后不久再次感染 BA.2 亚型变异株。对于第二次感染，研究人员在样本中检测到的病毒物质较少，这表明患者从第一次感染中产生了一些免疫力。
